Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

-Psalm 51:10 NASB

I was cleaning an inside window at a doorway entrance and this thought crossed my mind as I stood looking at the dirty windows outside. I thought of how we enter the church on Sunday weathered from a week of stress, problems, and who knows what, and hopefully when we leave the church service, we can see clearer and feel cleaner.

If we think about it, we can appear clean on the outside but not so clean on the inside. That’s the amazing story of our Lord, and how He takes us as we are and cleanses us on the inside as His word states “I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud and your sins like a heavy mist.

Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.” (Isaiah 44:22) So therefore when others see us, they can see a reflection of His nature and we can share with them the story of the one who washes us clean. Then I will teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners shall be converted unto thee. (Psalm 51:13)

Heavenly Father thank You for Your cleansing power that renews our spirit. Thank

You that we can come to You as we are and leave restored unto the joy of our

salvation through Christ Jesus.
