Limitless

You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever. – Psalm 16:11 (NASB)

The word “Limitless” and the story of Philip in Acts 8:39-40 have been popping up in my mind for several weeks now; therefore, I have concluded that the Spirit of God is wanting to show me that He is God, and He has no limits. For instance, in the story of Philip, who had been talking to a eunuch about Jesus, he suddenly vanished and found himself in another location. Literally, poof! He was gone and somewhere else. Can you imagine being ‘poofed’, or seeing someone ‘poof’?

Even though I believe the word of God, I think I put limits on God because my time is limited and I spend 24/7 caring for my daughter which limits the time I spend with God and others, and at times I have thought God doesn’t choose to do those kinds of “moves” any longer.

I believe I am wrong and that I need to recall who God really is. I can start by looking into all of the different names of God which describe His attributes. I can learn of His miracles by reading His word and understanding how the disciples grew by walking with Jesus and how they used God’s gifts and power to further God’s kingdom and increase their faith. I can reflect on how much He has done in the life of my daughter and her growth in Him over the years and how He has provided in ways only He could have arranged. The admirations of His faithfulness and presence in our life may have been viewed through a box I personally have kept Him in. It’s time I open the box and my heart to receive the fullness of what the Lord wants to share and do through me for His glory and His purpose.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. - Ephesians 3:20-21 (NASB)

Heavenly Father, thank You for caring enough about Your people to want us to grow in You and to grasp that You are limitless, and anything is possible with You. May we not limit You as You work through us to share Jesus so others may know the path to Him.
