Save As

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8 (NASB)

Can you think of someone you know very well or who knows you better than anyone else? Is there someone you confide in that listens and isn’t raising their eyebrows at what they just heard? Can you think of a time when you were at your worst, and you just needed some guidance or someone to unconditionally show love in your moment?

I can think of friends and family that have been with me through many phases in my life, but there is one who knows me better, He knows the thoughts I can’t or won’t share with others, He knows the conversations I have in my head, the shame of my past, and yet He still thought I was worth dying for, even though I was a hot mess with an aimless future. He knew my outcome.

Our lives all have significance, maybe we are a rough draft of a beautifully written story of how God loved us before He completed His good work in us. Do you see how He has demonstrated His own love toward you just as you are today, or in the past?

I think of Jesus accepting us as we are and clicking “Save As”, He then can edit and erase our sins, lead us into the new chapter of our life with Him as the Author and Perfector of our faith.

Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame. And sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. - Hebrews 12:2 (NASB)

Heavenly Father, thank you for your grace that enabled us to feel Your love and receive You into our hearts. Thank You that You look upon us with unfailing love so we may turn to You, our Lord and Savior.
