When We Don’t Feel Shiny

“For You light my lamp; The LORD my God illumines my darkness.” - Psalm 18:28 (NASB)
Recently, I received a text from someone who encouraged me by sharing how they perceived me during my struggles and how they see God at work in them. I was genuinely moved by this unexpected gesture, especially since I have been feeling quietly exhausted. My internal mood resembled that of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh.
We might not always feel like our lives are extraordinary, but God has a purpose for us. He
knows what He wants to accomplish in and through us to bring Himself glory and guide others toward a loving relationship with Him. It’s not about boasting regarding our actions; rather, it’s about recognizing what God is doing in our lives.
Your faith matters, your prayers matter, and you matter. Your story and life hold significance.
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.” - John 8:12
You, Lord, are our light and salvation; we shall not fear. In this life, You are our defense and
have granted us the light of life. May we reflect Your light as we navigate our lives with Your
guidance.
