And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With
this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
-Ephesians 6:18
Sometimes we can go through life and just survive day to day and not consider
where God has been active with us. It’s in the quietness that the magnitude of our
experiences can clearly show God’s intervention. I can go through my day
knowing that God is with me then realize I don’t always pray about everything
because I know He takes care of me I hadn’t understood that all things matter
to God, so I am trying to become more communicative “on all occasions” with the
Lord. For this particular event, I made sure that I was “prayed-up” when we
hauled my horse to a new barn. All went well while traveling until han electric fence later that evening. When I heard about this the following day, my heart sank. Once I saw him and the fence, I knew that the outcome could have been deadly. I became thankful and realized God helped even though my prayer was for him to be safe. (Genesis 1:26)
God says we will have troubles and even though I prayed, it was still a difficult
start mostly for my horse, and more work for me and the stable owner as we help
him get through his trauma. I believe the Spirit of the Lord gave me the inkling to
pray and then to reflect on how my horse didn’t have a scratch on him.
Even though living can be a lot of work we can have emotional scars and want
life to be easier I learned that through the trauma God was able to use this and
allow my horse to learn to trust me and bond with me as I helped him which
strengthens our relationship and I see how the Lord wants to do this with us and
through us to help others in this way. (Romans 8:28)
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your instruction and for reassuring us that we can
bring all prayers and requests to You. Help us to see You when we pray, and in our
lives and the lives of those we pray for.
