I believe it is a great honor to be able to go before the Lord and lift our petitions before Him on behalf of others. I imagine we all have experienced someone asking us to pray for them or for another close to them without knowing the result of our prayers.
Yet there are times when a person will give an update and we see God moving on their behalf as evidence that He hears our prayers. I then reflect on those for whom I pray for and which I have not seen how God is working or any evidence that things are changing.
But God reminds me that just because I don’t see how my prayers are availing doesn’t mean He isn’t listening or working on behalf of others. I will rest in the assurance of His word.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the glimpse of Your work in the lives of those we pray for, thank You for watching, hearing and attending to our prayers.
