Getting to the Truth

My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. - Hosea 4:6 (NASB)

Have you ever been praying about something, reading God’s word, or speaking to someone and it’s like a light bulb went off in your head, maybe peace welled up within you or there was an "ah-ha" moment? Truth can feel like this and sometimes truth can hurt, or be very humbling, it can be tormenting if you are one hiding from the truth.

God’s word is truth and reading the bible is a great way to find out what God says about any issue in our life. God says to “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.” - Matthew 7:7

I don’t even know what to ask at times, I just know I need some knowledge. I think I’ll start by asking God to help me ask the right questions and to get to the heart of my request so I can better understand how to best obey and serve Him the way He intends.

Are you facing a situation that requires the knowledge that comes from God? Pray and ask Him to show you the truth in your situation, read His word. His word says in John 8:32 that “The truth will set you free.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your word, help us to know the truth in this information war we are facing. Guide us to Your way of living so that we may know Your peace and walk in the freedom that only You can offer.
