You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for your word. - Psalm 119:114 (NASB)
It’s the end of the day and the beginning of a new week and here I sit in front of my computer thinking of spending time with Jesus, amid barking dogs and neighbors socializing outdoors. I take a deep breath knowing this is where God has placed me in this season.
The past several weeks have been filled with bad reports and yet another one today. I just want to hide. So that is what I intend to do. Sometimes I can’t get there fast enough.
Heavenly Father, You are my hiding place, You stand before me and shield me as I wait upon Your word. When Your word comes, I will stand, I will rise with wings like an eagle, I will run and not be weary and walk and not faint as You teach me to hide, wait and rise. - Isaiah 40:31
